Masco Corporation is a Fortune 500 company. Initially organized in 1929 as Masco Screw Products Company by Alex Manoogian in Detroit, Michigan, United States of America, Masco Corporation has emerged as the global leader in the manufacturing and distribution of branded consumer products for the home and family.

The company is a leading provider of variety of services including installation of insulation solutions for buildings, and building products such as shelving, windows, cabinetry, fireplaces, bathroom accessories, garage doors, and products related to gutters.

For years the company has made acquisitions of related small family-run businesses which were enticed by cash, stock in the parent corporation and a "hands off" policy which allowed them to retain employees and personal management of their local operations. Between 1997 and 2002 Richard Manoogian, who succeeded his father as chief executive invested over $10 billion on 42 buys.

By 2003, the parent corporation had sales of $10.9 billion and profit of $806 million and Richard Manoogian announced that Masco would start to run as a single company. Home Depot, which represents 22% of Masco's total sales has been getting separate sales calls from 18 Masco operating companies selling 25 different product lines.
