Ryder gained worldwide noteriety when one of its trucks was used in the Oklahoma City Bombing on April 19, 1995. One of its trucks is also famously known for carrying the ballots from West Palm Beach to Tallahassee, Florida during the disputed 2000 Presidential Election, the entire trip being nationally televised.
